ARONDA DUNLAP-ELDER, MSW LCSWS
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of North Carolina and have worked with children, adults and families for over 25 years in a variety of settings including public health and the public-school system. I have worked specifically with pregnant/parenting teens and adults throughout my career. I received my undergraduate and master’s degree in Social Work from Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte respectively.

As a clinician, my professional approach with clients is to meet them where they are in life and to explore how they relate to others around them. I believe in creating an ethical and professional client-therapist relationship that supports each individual. I practice with an eclectic approach using solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy, while utilizing a systems theory approach. I have worked with adolescents and adults addressing issues such as, depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting, and adjustment difficulties. I believe in taking care of the mind, body, and spirit to support good health and well-being.
