JULIA JEFFERSON, MA LCMHCA SCL
I received my Masters in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2020. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHCA #A16166) in the state of North Carolina as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (#1404391). Issues I have addressed with children, adolescents, and adults in counseling include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, career development, identity development, family conflict, body image, and interpersonal relationship concerns.
My approach to counseling is grounded in person-centered, narrative, and solution-focused theoretical orientations as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. It is important as a counselor to co-create a space where clients feel comfortable sharing their unique stories. In counseling, I take a collaborative and strengths-based approach, understanding that all of my clients come from diverse backgrounds. I believe that counseling is an experience all people can benefit from.
I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, day trips to different cities and towns, and walking my dog.
