As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I offer outpatient therapy services in Portuguese and English. My heart is in working with people of all ages (kids, teens, adults) who are grieving, recovering from religious trauma, feeling overwhelmed by stress, and living with anxiety/depression.
I take an eclectic and culturally sensitive approach to healing, seeing each individual as a whole person and pulling from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to tailor each session according to clients’ needs. I also enjoy weaving art, nature, and exercise into sessions whenever possible.
As a former professional writer and editor, I care deeply about helping individuals take ownership of their stories and embracing change. In my personal life, I spend as much time outside as possible, preferably with my dog or my bike. If I have to be indoors, I’m happiest when collaging, thrifting, and enjoying live music.
If we sound like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you and discuss how I can walk with you on your journey.
