I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of North Carolina and have worked with children, adults and families for over 20 years in a variety of settings including early childhood development, residential and outpatient treatment, and the public-school system. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
As a therapist, my professional approach with clients is to join them in their journey as they make progress in overcoming the obstacles of life. First and fore most I believe in meeting clients where they are in the moment while creating a positive, trusting client-therapist relationship to support optimal personal growth, self-love, and the ability to thrive. I practice with an eclectic approach using solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and reality therapy while utilizing a systems theory approach. I also strongly believe in the use of physical activity to support healthy social and emotional well-being.
