MA, LCMHCA

Hickory, Virtual

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate providing therapy for individuals and couples across the lifespan. I received my master’s degree in counseling from Lenoir‑Rhyne University and have experience supporting clients through life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, trauma, and work‑related stress. My background includes clinical work in applied behavioral health, private practice, and school counseling, and I am skilled in therapeutic language and documentation for clinical contexts.

My counseling style is collaborative, warm, and grounded in evidence‑based practice. I integrate person‑centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, and motivational interviewing to meet each client’s unique needs. I also draw from trauma‑informed and strengths‑based frameworks to help clients build insight, improve communication, and create meaningful change. When helpful, I incorporate practical tools from CBT and Gottman interventions to support emotional regulation, relationship repair, and healthier patterns at home and work.

I believe therapy should feel safe, accessible, and empowering. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, strengthen their relationships, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and fulfilling. Whether we are working individually or with partners or family members, I strive to meet clients exactly where they are with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their lived experiences.
